Custom Diamond Shaped Paper Collage of Butterfly, Moth & Gem

Built around a moth and gemstone composition, Butterfly Diamonds combines orange, blue and pink in a bold, contemporary composition. The subject is reconstructed from diamond-shaped paper pieces, so the image feels graphic from a distance and richly layered up close.

Each paper element is placed by hand in Bastiaan van Leeuwen’s Amsterdam studio. After the collage is completed, the work is photographed to preserve its depth and detail, then printed once on rigid 3 mm Aluminium Dibond. At 60 × 80 cm (A1), the finished piece is ready to hang and created for a single owner.
