In Diamond Cake, a cake still life is reimagined through Bastiaan van Leeuwen’s diamond-shaped collage technique. Printed photographs and images are cut into geometric pieces and placed by hand, with royal blue, white and gold defining the final composition.
Produced once on solid 3 mm Aluminium Dibond, the 60 × 80 cm artwork is made for a single collector rather than a mass-produced edition. The durable surface gives the hand-built colours and layered diamond geometry a clean gallery presentation.
