Kingfisher Diamonds – Blue & Green Bird – Diamond-Shaped Photo Collage

Built around a kingfisher bird composition, Kingfisher Diamonds combines blue, green, white and orange in a handmade photo-cutout collage. Bastiaan van Leeuwen shapes the source images into diamond pieces and arranges every element by hand, giving the artwork its faceted structure.

The final 60 × 80 cm artwork is produced only once on solid 3 mm Aluminium Dibond. It is created for one owner and will not be released as another edition. Up close, the cutouts reveal fragments of the printed source images; from a distance, they join as a unified artwork.
